Our Story
In May 2017, we embarked on a mission to redefine wellness and recovery. Frio Cryotherapy & Wellness was born out of a passion for promoting health and well-being and a commitment to bringing state-of-the-art wellness services to our community.
In June 2020, we found our new home in Tequesta, Florida - a space that encapsulates our philosophy of holistic wellness and provides the perfect backdrop for the diverse range of services we offer. Since then, we've been transforming lives, fostering recovery, and promoting wellness with our unique blend of services.
Our journey has been nothing short of incredible, and every step we take is a testament to our unwavering commitment to enhance the health and vitality of our clients. Meet the staff
Candice & Scott Franck
Owners/Operators
Meet Candice, the powerhouse behind Frio Cryotherapy & Wellness. Candice brings a diverse blend of skills to our team. With a Nursing degree and passion for healthy weightloss her clients experience significant, but safe weightloss .
Her supportive husband is also a nurse with over 15 years experience in the emergency room specializing in pediatric emergency medicine. He also is a firefighter paramedic locally in Florida.
Together they strive to make Frio an enjoyable and stress-free environment for everyone.
Ilya Chern, MD
Medical Esthetician/Director/Owner
Dr. Chern graduated from Michigan State College of Human Medicine, and Residency in Denver, Colorado. He is a Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Chern was the Medical Director of Plantation General Hospital Emergency Department for over 20 years, and Chief of Staff of PGH and Mercy Hospital. He was also Chairman of multiple hospital committees.
In 2020 after a long & protracted Covid illness, he focused on Rehabilitation, longevity, and wellness. He discovered that the field is inundated with dubious, and sometimes dangerous practitioners out for self-promotion and financial gain. This is why he uses evidence-based models that improve health and wellness. He is continuously learning and is looking forward to sharing your journey.
Michelle "Kricket" Nacy
Licensed Massage Therapist
Michelle, fondly known as "Kricket", is our resident bodywork enthusiast. A licensed massage therapist for over 20 years, she's a pro at easing your aches and pains. Her vibrant past in talk radio and her active involvement in her kids' sports life make her a lively presence at our center. Kricket's passion lies in enhancing your lifestyle and sports performance through expert bodywork.

O'Connor
Licensed Cosmetologist
Liz is our skincare and beauty guru. A licensed cosmetologist and esthetician, Liz boasts over 20 years of experience in skincare, cosmetic tattooing, and facials. Her flair for marketing and her deep understanding of skincare make her an invaluable asset to our team.
Dr. Ilya Chern, MD
Medical Supervisor
Our Medical Director and accomplished injectable specialist, graduated top of his class. With over twenty years of experience in the emergency room and private care, he brings a unique depth of knowledge to our aesthetic treatments. His precision and care ensure you're in excellent hands.
